The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 77th issue of Siyasat Arabiya, a bimonthly peer-reviewed journal of political science and international relations. This issue contains the following articles: “The Security Dilemma of Influence: Shi'i Transnationalism and the Limits of Iranian Foreign Policy" by Mohammad R. Kalantari; “The 2023 Gaza War and U.S.–China Rivalry in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait" by Abdullah Rashid Al-Mursel; “Diaspora as a Political Sphere: Understanding the Emergence of Fatah in the Arab Gulf Countries" by Yara Nassar; “Settler Colonial Strategies in the West Bank: Between Elimination and Management" by Feras Ali Qawasmeh; and “The Role of Civil Society Organizations in Supporting Youth Participation in Peacebuilding in Yemen" by Shaimaa Barakat. The translation section includes “An Urban Political Ecology of Populism" by Joris Gort and Alex Loftus, translated by Saja Torman. This issue also documents key events in the democratic transition in the Arab world and Palestine over the two-month period from September 1 to October 31, 2025. Additionally, it features Wajd Beshara's review of the book Hyperconnectivity and Its Discontents by Rogers Brubaker.
