The ACRPS has published the 42nd issue of the bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal Siyasat Arabiya, covering political sciences and international relations.

This issue sees the launch of a new series titled "Siyasat Arabiya Books", published by the journal covering a theoretical topic, a case study, or so on in the realm of political science and international relations. The series begins with the book The Trump-Netanyahu Deal: the Path that Led to the «Peace» Plan and What is to be Done by Azmi Bishara.

This issue includes nine studies in special session: Public Administration and Public Policy, Issues in the Arab World. The articles include "Introduction: Public Administration Research and its Relationship with Public Policies in the Arab World, A Critical Perspective" by MohamedAlaa Abdel-Moneim; "Public Policy Studies: Academic Roots and Practical Significance" by B. Guy Peters; "Don't Forget the Law and Politics: What can Arab Public Administration Scholars Learn from the Fluidity of the Field in the US Experience?" by David Rosenbloom and Mohamed Alaa Abdel-Moneim; "Social Science and Public Policymaking in the Arab Region: Towards Building a Methodology to Bridge the Gap" by Brahim Morchid; "Capital Formation, Rate of Return on Capital, and Economic Inequality in the Mena" by Hamid E. Ali and Marmar F. Abdou; "Dreams without Illusions: Bureaucratic Obstacles, Administrative Corruption and the Future of Democracy in the Arab Region" by Mohamed Arafa; "Teaching and Practicing Cultural Competency in the MENA Region" by Deborah L. Trent, Sawsan Abu Tabanjeh and Aziza Zemrani, "Quality Assurance in Tunisian Higher Education: A Case-Driven Analysis of Prevalent Policymaking Practice" by Ichrak Klai, Intissar Kherigi, Khalil Amiri, Sofiane Sahraoui and Sana Ajmi, and "The Regulatory Policies of the Telecommunications Sectors in the Arab Region in the Post-Economic Liberalization Period: Selected Arab Experiences" by Ahmed Badran.

Also covered in this issue is Arab Opinion Index commentary by the Public Opinion Polling Unit, writing about "Public Opinion Trends on Public Policy in Arab Countries". The Documentation section explores Milestones in Democratic Transition in the Arab World 1/11/2019 - 31/21/2019 and Documents about Democratic Transition in the Arab Region, as well as the regular installment of Palestine Over Two Months 1/11/2019 - 31/12/2019. Finally, Ihab Maharmeh provides a critical review of Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse of Global Transformation and Technocracy: The Hard Road to World Order by Patrick M. Wood.
