The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 53nd issue of the bimonthly peer-reviewed political science and international relations journal, Siyasat Arabiya. This issue includes the following articles "Why Did the "Baath State" in Syria Collapse?" by Marwan Kabalan; "The Mahdi Army and the Sadrist Movement in Iraq: The Struggle for Transformation" by Haider Saeed; "Soft Power in Action: Towards a Theoretical Framework" by Ali Bakir; and "Constitutional Law and Legitimization of the Political System in Morocco: A Political Sociology of Science" by Mohamed Goulferni. The issue includes a paper on the Arab Opinion Index by Hicham Raïq and Mohamed Ourya "Arab People's view on Political Systems: Comparative 103 Study Using Principal Component Analysis", followed by the documentation of Milestones in Democratic Transition in the Arab World and Palestine over two months, 1/9-31/10/2021, along with select Documents of Democratic Transition in the Arab World. The issue ends with Amer Katbeh review entitled "The MENA Region between Democratization and Autocracy Studies: Literature Review and Theoretical Reflections before and after the Arab Uprisings".
