Abstract

This paper explores the Syrian reaction to the latest (September, 2014) Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip. Specifically, the paper explores how the Syrian regime’s support for the Palestinian cause is contingent on the wider political environment in the Arab region. In particular, the paper explores how the Syrian revolution has impacted the Assad regime’s support for the Palestinian cause.
