The strategy of the Chinese Presence in Africa

Abstract

This study highlights the strategy outlined by China for strengthening its presence in the African continent which is rich in resources that newly emerging powers, such as Chania are in need for. The paper attempts to track the Chinese strategic plans throughout Africa and the variety of forms through which the Chinese presence manifested itself in the continent, thus far. The paper also discusses the phenomenal proliferation of the Chinese workforce in Africa and the future demographic impact of this proliferation on it. Besides, the paper will also touch on the anticipated future developments of this strategy.
