The paper examines the nature and reality of China's strategy and analyzes the fundamental objectives of China's Middle East strategy. The focus is on trade and economic strategy, energy security, national security and soft power, as well as China's strategy to develop and strengthen its presence in the Middle East. The study also investigates the role and impact of regional and international factors in China's strategy in the Middle East. It takes a forward look at the dimensions of China's Middle East strategy by trying to gauge what both China hopes to achieve in the region and what the region expects in return.
