The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 62nd issue of the bimonthly peer-reviewed political science and international relations journal, Siyasat Arabiya.
This issue features six studies in a special issue on the water diplomacy and trans-boundary water conflicts. The articles include an introduction: "Transboundary Waters in the Arab Region: From Conflict to Benefit-Sharing and Regional Cooperation" by the guest editor of this issue Mohammad Al-Saidi, in addition to "Water Diplomacy: Its Importance and How Does It Work?" by Hussam Hussein, Zoe Campbell, Josephine Leather, and Patrick Ryce; "The Role of the International Court of Justice in the Evolution of International Water Law" by Joni Aasi; "The Iraqi - Syrian - Turkish Conflict Over the Tigris and Euphrates Waters: A Geopolitical Reading" by Abdelkarim Daoud; "Towards Understanding the Water Conflict in the Eastern Nile: The GERD Issue and Common Misconceptions" by Mohammad Al-Saidi, and Mohammed Basheer; "Water in Egypt: A Complex Crisis with a Limited Response" by Ghassan ElKahlout; "Litani River as It Connects the Sects: Towards Better Rebuilding in Lebanon" Hussein Abdulmunim Amery.
The issue also contains the documentation of Milestones in Democratic Transition in the Arab World and Palestine over two months, 1/3-30/4/2023, along with select Documents of Democratic Transition in the Arab World. The issue ends with Khaled Torki Alkhaldi's book review of The Horn of Africa: A Gulf Strategic Depth by Madoukh Ajmi Al-Otaibi.
