​​​​​This study examines the strategic challenges associated with mobilizing the internal security forces to support defence. It focuses in particular on the constraints posed by the lack of human resources in Qatar. These challenges are further compounded by broader structural shortages in available personnel. It explores the potential of strategically using internal security to enhance national defence capabilities through a case study. The study addresses the challenges faced by small states, such as Qatar, in sustaining military readiness within a complex and evolving security environment. It concludes by advancing a phased proposal for transforming the internal security into an auxiliary military force. The proposal includes assessing strategic threats, developing a joint military doctrine, designing an appropriate organizational structure, preparing operational protocol, and enhancing operational readiness through training and armament.​​​​
